One of my main drivers for this podcast/blog is to share the knowledge I have with our audience. Many times while at work I’m presented with this question.
Are these two files the same?
If not, what are the differences?
This week, I was exposed to a pretty cool tool that compares two files and graphically shows you the difference. You even have the option to merge the two files. Did I mention that this is a freeware tool? Thanks Mike Reid for sharing this tool with me.
Per the website http://www.winmerge.org/ WinMerge is an Open Source (GPL) visual text file differencing and merging tool for Windows. It is highly useful for determining what has changed between project versions, and then merging changes between versions.
Keep on Geeking !!!
